Hot take: after driving a CVPI, I can see some of the appeal of them as a fleet vehicle, but holy man do I not understand the praise as a personal vehicle , minus them being damn near unkillable. I'm happy I didn't buy one when I thought it was a good idea.

Being unkillable isn’ t good enough? :p
Some people just want something that will last a long time with no problems :o)
But in Canada, you get some cool cars we didn’
t get down here. Get one of those instead.

This is the correct take. Crown Vics are reliable trash.

Crown Vics are for when you are just too stubborn(or U-nICkue) to buy a truck.

Did you not try to drift it?

I did. And it did drift. But I stand by what I said.

They are very good
for what they are.
People miss that last part a lot. Nobody is claiming they’re great at anything (other than running forever on basic maintenance) but for what they are (cheap big
V8 RWD s
edan) they are good. They drive decently (especially 03+), can haul a ton of stuff/people, comfortable on the highway, etc. Sure, there are plenty of cars that can do that stuff and those that can do those things even better, but as a cheap combination of all those that will cost you so little in maintenance, it’s hard to beat.
